What is Profit Master Business Solutions

Profit Master Business Solutions is the next step after almost 25 years of working with small medium and large sized businesses. It is the opportunity for me to directly affect the future of businesses in the Jacksonville area and beyond and help them develop new customers and grow to the levels that they always had hoped for – and even beyond.

I’ve been working in the marketing and advertising industry for most of my career. I began as a volunteer with both the NBA and NHL. I had the opportunity to work a grassroots 3 on 3 basketball tournament in multiple locations around the New York area, including a really cool experience of having basketball played all along the outer ramps of Grand Central Station, and some incredible memories of working All Star Week and the All Star Game at Madison Square Garden and then six months later the Stanley Cup Finals. All of this led to working the opening ceremonies of the World Cup at old Giants Stadium and being hired during the planning and construction process of the Chelsea Piers Sports and Entertainment Complex.

It was at Chelsea Piers where I had my first taste of external marketing and then, eventually, internal marketing. Our goal was to share with the residents of Manhattan, and greater New York, all of the possibilities of a large multi-sport venue being built on historic piers on the Hudson River. They were the destination points for the Titanic and Lusitania and an incredible experience to have a role in marketing outdoor roller rinks, indoor ice rinks, a state-of-the-art health club, golf driving range, gymnastics facility which also included restaurants and soundstages for television and movie production. Through print and tv commercials, we promoted the launch of each venue and membership to the Sports Center. I then was responsible for a monthly newsletter and internal promotion or all health club related activities. I also assisted in the construction of their first website.

I left Chelsea Piers to attend Fordham University’s business school, where I earned my MBA in Marketing in 2002. While in school, I was hired as an intern for the Brooklyn Cyclones minor league baseball team during their historic inaugural season. I eventually joined them full time after graduation and wore a collection of hats, serving as producer of game day, video director, game and stadium sponsorship salesperson, writer and editor for the game day magazine and manager of all game day staff. It was an incredible time to be in Brooklyn, as we ushered the return of baseball for the first time since the beloved Dodgers left in 1957 and took part in many conversations with fans who shared their love of for the game. Our marketing was endless and led to a record of three straight sold out seasons and countless memories for the players, fans and myself. I would always describe it as I put on a Broadway show every night.

After four and half years with the Cyclones, I ventured into radio working for Westwood One Radio where I created sponsorship campaigns for traffic and news reports around the country for national clients, working with their agencies to develop the right messaging and markets for their advertising programs. I eventually moved onto local radio, serving as the director of sales and marketing for 1010XL Sports Radio here in Jacksonville Florida. It is there where I developed the skill for writing and voicing commercials, creating integrated marketing partnerships and assisted the station in becoming the flagship partner for the Jacksonville Jaguars.

I then ventured into online marketing when the station launched the college football website GridironNow.com where I developed digital campaigns, working with agencies throughout the country and local clients to get their message seen by the rabid Southeast Conference (SEC) college football fan.

From there, I entered the world of advertising agencies, first as the director of sales and marketing for BEST Media, a yellow page directory business in Houston, Texas where I was tasked to develop it into a digital marketing agency and then to Client Focused Media where I served as the vice president of client integration working with local companies and not for profits to develop strategic integrated marketing campaigns. I also developed their video department, co-producing four local TV shows and becoming the host of “five minutes with”, an interview segment for small businesses in the area aired on Buzz TV.

That brings us to now, and Profit Master Business Solutions, where I am looking forward to using all of these experiences to work individually with companies to make them better, more profitable and to improve the life, sanity and retirement of the business owner.
