Episode Fifty Seven – Carla Ward, Early Learning Foundations

All I Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten.

How often have you thought about that statement, or taken the time to think about the fundamentals that you learned in elementary school?

There is so much that kids learn during these critical stages in their life and, at times, they are not able to fully absorb the key aspects of the lessons.  This is where great teachers and tutors can be of great assistance to not only their current coursework but to their future learning.

My guest for this episode of 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐎𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫 – 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐨𝐰 is Carla Ward, an Early Childhood Educator and the founder of Early Learning Foundations, a business dedicated to education and enhancing the work of Early Childhood Educators. She has held a variety of roles in the education field for more than 17 years. Carla is a certified Wunderled educator and brings a sense of wonder and passion into every aspect of her business, from hosting The Everything ECE Podcast, to workshop development, to digital course creation as well as running a full-time online tutoring business. Carla loves to share actionable and inspiring ideas with fellow educators both in and out of the classroom to help support professional practices in Early Childhood Education.

She tells the story of how she began what was then just a tutoring business and how it grew incrementally as her young students moved on to older grades and wanted her to continue to be a tutoring resource for them. Carla’s is a great journey of reaching children and making their education an enjoyable and rewarding experience, for them and for their teachers, all while building a successful business.
